21/25 Fore Street, Totnes

The project involved the acquisition of a site occupying 1/4 acre of Fore Street, in the prime retail pitch in Totnes. The scheme comprised the refurbishment, and substantial  extension of a Grade II Listed Building, which was the former Post Office and Sorting Office, and provided a phased scheme for two units. The site was acquired subject to planning which was obtained after extensive consultations with the Local Planning Authority and English Heritage.

The main unit, of 5,500 sq.ft. of trading space, was pre-let to Peacock Stores Limited  on a new 15 year lease. The second unit, of 1,500 sq.ft. was marketed prior to completion when it was sold to a Bastins, a local card shop chain.

The companys retains the Peacock’s unit as a long term investment .
