This scheme involved the development of a 29,000 sq.ft. purpose built industrial unit, incorporating 4,000 sq.ft. of offices, for Specsavers Optical Superstores Ltd. Specsavers occupy the premises through a subsidiary, Visionlabs Ltd, for the manufacturing and coating of lenses, which is one of three  major Uk facilities.The facilty operates 24/7 and produces 50,000 lenses a week

Specsavers approached LRE to act as developers on this project and took  a new 25 year FRI lease: with rent reviews will be based on 125% of ERV with guaranteed fixed uplifts The development site was a greenfield site located approximately 1 mile south of Kidderminster town centre. Site infrastructure which was supervised by LRE was being put in place simultaneously  with the construction of the industrial unit

The company retains the investment as long term asset .Specasvers have recently acquired the adjoing unit. LRE has negotiated a new lease  on its property until 2030
